eStar update planned for Sept. 11 delayed

The eStar update planned for this weekend (Sept. 11) has been delayed.

Late last week, Epic advised all its customers that had not yet implemented this software update to stop any current efforts to move forward. The Epic customers that have already implemented the update have been affected by significant stability and performance issues.

Epic is working hard to correct the identified issues.

The VUMC team managing the update is in close communication with Epic regarding the company’s timelines for correcting the identified issues. A new date for the update has yet to be determined. Please keep a lookout for more information as timelines are finalized.

Leaders and users should continue to review materials and guidance to be sure they are prepared for the changes when they are implemented—likely later this year.
