The 28th annual Vanderbilt Neurology Stroke and Neuroscience Symposium will be held Thursday, May 21, as a hybrid event, offering an in-person option at Drury Plaza Hotel Nashville Franklin and an online option.

Among the speakers at this year’s event are two special guests from peer institutions, James Meschia, MD, of the Mayo Clinic, and Brian Mac Grory, MBBCh, of the Duke University School of Medicine.

Meschia will present a keynote address on results from the CREST2 clinical trial, a study aimed at finding the best way to prevent strokes. He will also present a talk on the rare disorder CADASIL and other hereditary small vessel diseases of the brain. Mac Grory will present a keynote talk on incorporating large observational datasets into clinical decision-making for stroke.

This symposium is the premier event aimed at improving stroke care in Middle Tennessee and will feature a recognized lineup of leaders in stroke care, including speakers from Vanderbilt Health. The event is well suited for those in medicine, neurology, neurological surgery, hearing and speech sciences, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology and surgery.
