Jimmy Moore, VUMC’s longest living heart transplant recipient (1986), recently reunited with surgeons Walter Merrill, MD, left, and William Frist, MD.

Bonnie Davis, with Tom DiSalvo, MD, left, and Walter Merrill, MD, was the first female heart transplant recipient in 1986.

Michael Wilcher received a rare dual heart/liver transplant in 2017.

Savannah Parks received the first dual organ transplant using hepatitis C positive organs for a disease-free patient in 2017.
