Vanderbilt’s completely virtual Master of Science in Applied Clinical Informatics (MSACI) program provides a 36-credit-hour curriculum in 21 months, with a coursework-intensive first year followed by a practicum and a mentored capstone project.
Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education, the MSACI program adheres to the highest standards of informatics education, emphasizing a deep theoretical and practical understanding of care processes, informatics concepts, information technologies, computer science, and the changing social, organizational and economic context in which health care is delivered.
MSACI is designed for those looking to expand their careers through rigorous practical informatics training. With the program’s online format, time and location are no longer a barrier to expanding skill sets. The MSACI program is prepared to accommodate distance learning and the busy schedules of working health care professionals — physicians, nurses and pharmacists, and professionals from related disciplines such as public health, health care policy, health information technology development, research informatics and hospital/clinic management.
The final application deadline is May 15. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. For more information or to apply, please visit the MSACI website.
