Members of Canby Robinson Legacy Circle recently gathered for a special Spotlight Series event to recognize their loyal support for Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The event featured a panel of VUMC heart health experts discussing advances in cardiovascular care to promote healthy aging.
As a nonprofit, VUMC relies on the generosity of donors to advance its mission. Donors who choose to make a gift through their estate become honored members of the Canby Robinson Legacy Circle. Since its inception in 2016, the Legacy Circle has grown to nearly 400 active members.
Panel speakers included:
- Moderator Daniel Muñoz, MD, MPA, executive medical director of Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute, interim co-director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and associate professor of Medicine.
- Ravi Shah, MD, Gottlieb C. Friesinger II Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and professor of Medicine, director of Clinical and Translational Research in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and co-director of the Vanderbilt Diabetes Center.
- Julie Damp, MD, professor of Medicine and program director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program.
- Ashish Shah, MD, professor and chair of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, and holder of the Alfred Blalock Directorship in Cardiac Surgery.
