Vanderbilt University’s Master of Science in Applied Clinical Informatics program (MS-ACI) is now accepting applications for fall 2026.
This completely virtual program provides a 36-credit-hour curriculum over 21 months, with a coursework-intensive first year followed by a practicum and a mentored capstone project.
Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education, the MS-ACI program adheres to the highest standard of informatics education, emphasizing a deep theoretical and practical understanding of care processes, informatics concepts, information technologies, computer science and the changing social, organizational, and economic context in which health care is delivered.
MS-ACI is designed for those looking to expand their careers through rigorous practical informatics training. With its online format, time and location are no longer a barrier to expanding skill sets.
The MS-ACI program accommodates distance learning and the busy schedules of working health care professionals including physicians, nurses, pharmacists and professionals from related disciplines such as public health, health care policy, health information technology development, research informatics and hospital/clinic management.
The final application deadline is May 15. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. For more information or to apply, please visit the MS-ACI website.
