Adam Wright invited to National Academy of Medicine Emerging Leaders Forum 

Attendees will explore some of the most pressing challenges in health and medicine, with the aim of considering and stimulating collaborative interdisciplinary solutions.

Adam Wright, PhD, professor of Biomedical Informatics and Medicine and director of the Vanderbilt Clinical Informatics Center, has been invited to participate in the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) Emerging Leaders in Health and Medicine Forum. 

The annual forum will be held April 14–15 at the National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, D.C. It convenes early- and mid-career professionals with demonstrated leadership and professional achievement in biomedical science, population health, health care and related fields. 

The forum is part of a NAM program designed to enhance leadership experience and foster collaboration by engaging emerging leaders in NAM programs and meetings and facilitating interaction with NAM members and other leaders across disciplines. 

Wright, who holds the DBMI Directorship in Clinical Informatics, is an internationally recognized leader in clinical informatics and decision support. His research focuses on clinical decision support, health information technology safety, and the application of artificial intelligence in clinical care. He has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and is a fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics, the American Medical Informatics Association and the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics.
