Program arranges genetic testing for AFib patients who may be at risk for inherited cardiomyopathy or arrhythmia syndromes

VUMC team attends first Pan African Nurse Anesthetists Conference

The conference, which took place June 18-20 in Nairobi, Kenya, brought together non-physician anesthesia providers from 18 different countries in Africa for continued education and networking. The purpose was to reduce maternal mortality by improving safe access to anesthesia for pregnant women across Africa.

Vanderbilt Transplant Center finishes fiscal year with record 809 solid organ transplants

Vanderbilt’s adult heart, lung, liver and kidney transplant programs individually had record fiscal years, with 150 heart transplants, 90 lung transplants, 180 liver transplants and 333 kidney transplants. In addition, adult transplant teams performed three heart/lung transplants and four kidney/pancreas transplants.
