While the number of COVID-19 cases across the country is decreasing, pediatricians at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt are beginning to see a new post-surge trend: an increase in cases of multi-system inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C).

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has opened a new pediatric primary care clinic in Lebanon, Tennessee, across the street from Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH).

Eunice Huang, MD, MS, has joined Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt as associate surgeon-in-chief and chief surgical quality and innovations officer. She is also professor and vice chair of Clinical Services in the Department of Pediatric Surgery.

The Nashville Predators hockey team, longtime supporters of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and its programs, recently presented the hospital with the proceeds raised throughout the year from the team’s 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund presented by Twice Daily.

Kris Rehm, MD, MMHC, professor of Clinical Pediatrics and vice chair in the Department of Pediatrics, has been appointed associate chief medical officer for Children’s Services for the Vanderbilt Medical Group (VMG).
