J. David Sweatt, Ph.D., the Evelyn F. McKnight Endowed Chair of the Department of Neurobiology, director of the Civitan International Research Center, and director of the McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, has been named chair of Vanderbilt’s Department of Pharmacology.

Harsh Trivedi, M.D., MBA, associate professor of Psychiatry, vice chair for Clinical Affairs for Vanderbilt’s Department of Psychiatry, and executive director and chief medical officer of Vanderbilt Behavioral Health, has been named CEO of Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital. He will remain administrative director for Vanderbilt Behavioral Health.

Vanderbilt Health is opening a new Walk-In Clinic in Nashville’s Belle Meade neighborhood on Wednesday, Jan. 20.

Terence Dermody, M.D., director of the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) and Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, is leaving to become chair of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, physician-in-chief at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and scientific director of the Rangos Research Center.
