Scientists in the Vanderbilt Epidemiology Center (VEC) and Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) have been awarded a grant to plan and develop a Regional Center of Research Excellence in non-communicable diseases in Vietnam.

Couple’s gift spurs pediatric allergy research, training

Kathy Delzell Anderson and her husband, Steve, know firsthand how allergies can affect a person’s overall health and well-being. Kathy is a lifelong allergy sufferer, and the couple’s son, Clint, has seasonal allergies.

Flulapalooza mass vaccination event takes place Oct. 11

Flulapalooza 6 will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, and will offer staff, students and volunteers free flu shots. The event will take place in a large tent erected between Light Hall and Veteran’s Administration (VA) Hospital from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
