Three Vanderbilt hospitals have been recognized by the Leapfrog group as among the safest in the United States. Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH), Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital (VBH) and Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH) all received a fall 2023 safety grade of “A.”

Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital’s Socktober event benefits Compassionate Hands, a Wilson County-based nonprofit that provides food, shelter, clothing and cleaning services to those experiencing homelessness.

Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital’s lab has been awarded accreditation from the College of American Pathologists based on results of a recent onsite inspection as part of the CAP’s Accreditation Programs.

Vanderbilt LifeFlight personnel recently received training on using advanced cardiac devices in transport settings, devices that were historically found only at hospitals like VUMC.
