April Kapu, DNP, APRN, has left her role as associate nursing officer for Vanderbilt University Medical Center Advanced Practice and director of the Office of Advance Practice, and begun a new position as associate dean for Clinical and Community Partnerships at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (VUSN).

Results show on-site clinics lower school district care costs

Onsite health clinics that provide primary care to teachers and their families can lower a school district’s health care costs, according to a new study that found these outcomes at Vanderbilt’s nurse-managed clinics at Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS).

VUSN’s Pilon set to transition into new role

Bonnie Pilon, Ph.D., senior associate dean for Clinical and Community Partnerships for the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, will step down from her leadership role beginning Jan. 1, 2015, and take a sabbatical year before returning to a faculty role at the school.
