VUMC Voice Halloween children’s art contest deadline is Oct. 23
All children and grandchildren, between the ages of 4 and 12, of VUMC employees, students and volunteers are eligible to enter. The best drawings will be selected by a panel of VUMC judges and will be featured in the days leading up to Halloween on the VUMC Voice website. -

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt hosted a “Howl-o-Ween Paw-ty” with a pet therapy dog show, a “PUParazzi” photo booth with hospital mascot Champ, and a stuffed dog giveaway courtesy of the MINI of Nashville car dealership. -

Safety experts at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt know Halloween can be scary, but for different reasons than you think. On average, twice as many children are killed while walking on Halloween than on any other day of the year.
