Wesley Self, MD, MPH, a physician-scientist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, has been named co-principal investigator (co-PI) of Vanderbilt’s Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA).

Vanderbilt's David Calkins, PhD, has been selected by the Research to Prevent Blindness and Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology to receive the 2023 David F. Weeks Award for Outstanding Vision Research.

Pablo Juárez, MEd, BCBA, LBA, has been named director of behavior analysis within the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and the Division of Developmental Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The team's quick actions meant contrast imaging studies were reserved for people with emergent health situations, like heart attacks and strokes.
