The latest version of vumc2go — the workforce’s internal news mobile app — makes it easier for Vanderbilt University Medical Center employees to download the app, connect with virtual events around the health system and track their COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

vumc2go is now available to download directly from the Apple and Google app stores without installing mobile device management (MDM).

The app offers a variety of features geared to keep employees across the expanding health system and those working from home in touch with news and events that impact them — a priority for VUMC, leaders said at the February Leadership Assembly.

Employees who are enrolling for the COVID-19 vaccine can keep track of their appointment. Those who are already vaccinated can refer to the dates of both doses with a few taps of the finger.

The vumc2go app launched in March 2020 as a critical component of VUMC’s evolving internal communications platform to ensure employees, no matter where they are, get timely information.

Once downloaded, staff log in using their VUNET ID and password.

Current app features, in addition to the newsfeed, include:

  • Notifications about new newsfeed articles since you last visited
  • Filter newsfeed articles by topic
  • The ability to bookmark articles
  • A directory to locate and email colleagues
  • Access to townhall videos and Vanderbilt Health DNA podcast episodes

vumc2go is created with you — the employee — in mind. It will continue to evolve to make navigating VUMC easier and more engaging.
