The U.S. Army North Division is performing a planned training throughout Davidson County to exercise their emergency response procedures.
Part of this training will use Vanderbilt University Hospital’s (VUH) helipad to conduct scheduled touch-and-go landings with Blackhawk aircrafts. These drills will focus on incident preparedness in the event of a large scale-disaster, and patients are incoming to VUH. No actual patients will be involved in the training.
These scheduled landings will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 9, and Thursday, Aug. 10, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. This training will have no impact on operations at VUH.
