Vanderbilt Health and Siemens Healthineers have entered into a multiyear, $87 million Value Partnership1 supporting technology modernization and standardization in diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology and related workforce development programs across Vanderbilt Health’s hospitals in the Middle Tennessee area. The agreement establishes a strong strategic framework for performance innovation, technology planning, installation support, and service operations, aligning strategy with clinical and operational goals. This relationship will streamline technology with a single vendor for select equipment purchases, and the planned new ventures will help with operations.

Joining with Siemens Healthineers, a world leader in health care equipment, will help our health system remain on the cutting edge regarding imaging technology implementation while also offering access to their other innovations,” said Jane Freedman, MD, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Health System Officer for Vanderbilt Health.
Vanderbilt Health and Siemens Healthineers will also explore opportunities involving data infrastructure, AI-enabled technologies and workflow innovation in areas such as radiology, personalized medicine and operational efficiency. These efforts are intended to support clinical teams, improve operational efficiency, and develop care models for wider application.
Under the agreement, Siemens Healthineers will also be the primary provider of advanced technology for magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, molecular imaging, interventional radiology and Varian radiation oncology systems for Vanderbilt University Hospital, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and other Vanderbilt Health sites. The Value Partnership is intended to strengthen Vanderbilt Health’s patient-centered approach to personalized care delivery, enhance the patient experience, and further efforts to improve health outcomes for communities across Middle Tennessee.
