The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has recognized Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH) with its 2026 Gold Performance Achievement Award on its Chest Pain/Myocardial Infarction registry.
According to the ACC, the award program “recognizes hospitals participating in the registry who have demonstrated sustained, top-level performance in quality of care and adherence to guideline recommendations. Through full participation in the registry, hospitals engage in a robust quality improvement process, using data to drive improvements and positively impact patient outcomes for heart attack patients.”
VUH was the only hospital system in Nashville to receive the distinction in 2026. In addition to the Gold Performance Achievement Award given to Vanderbilt University Hospital, Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital earned a Silver Performance Achievement Award.
“This award is the result of many, many team members’ hard work caring for such a critical population of patients,” said Jared O’Leary, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Medical Director for Quality for Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute. “This recognition is important for our ongoing chest pain accreditation and also recognition for the first-class care that we provide to the community.”
