As the nation seeks to more fully integrate quality improvement with all aspects of health care delivery, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM) is restructuring its Continuing Medical Education (CME) office to achieve similar goals.

The American Medical Association (AMA) has selected Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM) to receive a $1 million grant as one of the nation’s 11 top medical schools transforming medical education.

Changes in instructional technology as well as changes among the student body present opportunities and challenges in today's university classrooms, said three Vanderbilt deans at a recent Celebration of Teaching event.

This summer, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine students began implementing a new, innovative, four-year education model called Curriculum 2.0.
