Saeed Mohammad, MD, MS, recently joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as director of the Pediatric Solid Organ Transplant Center at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

This May, the Vanderbilt Transplant Center is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its first liver transplant.

Heidi Schaefer, MD, has been named medical director of the Adult Solid Organ Transplant Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Last year, Liz Barnett became one of seven people at Vanderbilt University Medical Center to receive a combined heart/liver transplant in 2021.
