VUMC performs its first combined lung and liver transplant

Connie Rankin of Memphis, Tennessee, received Vanderbilt’s first combined lung and liver transplant, which involved dozens of specialists, including transplant teams for both organs.

The visit was the first time a group of Ukrainian oncologists came to VUMC to learn about cancer research and care.

A group of Ukrainian oncologists recently visited Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center where they toured research labs, observed tumor board meetings, met with several Vanderbilt oncologists, and attended the 23rd Annual Retreat for Cancer Biology.

Toddra Liddell helps dialysis patients manage mental health issues during treatment

Toddra Liddell, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC became a family nurse practitioner at Vanderbilt, decided to seek a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate when she realized how many had mental health issues either brought on or exacerbated by their chronic condition.
