The most acute needs are for clothing for men in smaller sizes; clothing for women in plus sizes, and new underwear of all sizes for both men and women

Scanner combines fluoroscopy, a type of X-ray imaging that allows real-time visualization of body structures, with analytical software to visually document the lung’s air flow as color heat maps.

The members of the incoming class include 88 MD, 15 Medical Scientist Training Program and one oral and maxillofacial surgery student. They were selected from a pool of more than 6,800 applicants and came to VUSM from 29 states, six foreign countries and 63 undergraduate schools with 57 majors.

She will be responsible for managed care contracting on behalf of the VUMC enterprise including the Medical Center’s clinical facilities, Vanderbilt Medical Group, along with its affiliates and joint ventures.

The program will help Externs acquire valuable skills, gain self-confidence, and increase clinical competency under the supervision of experienced nurse preceptors.

The Chill Out event, at which VUMC employees get free ice cream and other frozen treats, was held at all VUMC hospital campuses. The VUH Plaza was a sea of smiles as a summer day was cooled off with frozen goodness.
