A research endeavor that seeks to develop a new cancer immunotherapy utilizing nanobody delivery and targeted heating of tumors has received funding from the Waddell Walker Hancock Cancer Discovery Fund.

Timothy Blackwell, MD, director of the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, is leaving Vanderbilt University Medical Center to chair the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan.

Michael Regier, JD, general counsel and secretary at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, has announced that he will retire at the end of the academic year. Douglas Mefford, JD, managing counsel in the Office of Legal Affairs, has been appointed to succeed him effective July 1.
