Ruth Kleinpell, PhD, RN, the Independence Foundation Professor of Nursing Education at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, has been elected to leadership roles with three key health care organizations.

John Pope IV, MD, professor of Urologic Surgery and Pediatrics, has been named director of the Division of Pediatric Urology at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Shon Dwyer, MBA, RN, executive director of Michigan Medicine’s (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor) University Hospital and Frankel Cardiovascular Center, has been named the new president of Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital (VUAH).

He hopes the software applications and systems he and his team develop work so well that users don’t even notice them.
