Libby Bien, BSN, RN, works in the Hematology/Oncology unit at Vanderbilt University Hospital. She is one of the latest Vanderbilt Health DAISY Award winners.

Annette Goad, BSN, RN, MLAS, works in the Medical Specialties clinic at The Vanderbilt Clinic. She is one of the latest Vanderbilt Health DAISY Award winners.

She served in a number of leadership roles, including evening hospital administrator and assistant hospital director for VUH. She was an administrative director for several areas, including LifeFlight and the Burn Patient Care Center, and helped guide the creation of VUH’s dedicated Trauma Intensive Care Unit.

This class is one of the first of its kind offered in the region that blends online learning with hands-on practical application for staff to employ best practices to reduce stroke mortality and morbidity.
