Five Vanderbilt University Medical Center faculty members have received Young Physician-Scientist Awards from the American Society of Clinical Investigation (ASCI), an elite honor society of physician-scientists.

H. Rodes Hart, BA’54, and Patricia Ingram Hart, BA’57, whose generous gifts continue to advance the mission of Vanderbilt as one of the world’s great universities for learning and discovery, have endowed a second chair in Urologic Surgery.

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation has awarded a three-year, $240,000 Faculty Development Award to Cosby Stone Jr., MD, MPH, instructor in Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Vanderbilt’s Muktar Aliyu, MBBS, MPH, DrPH, and Hilary Tindle, MD, MPH, will be inducted this year into the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), an elite honor society of physician-scientists from the upper ranks of academic medicine and industry.

Eight leaders from across Vanderbilt University Medical Center have been named as holders of endowed directorships.

Jeanne Yeatman, BSN, MBA, RN, MOM, CMTE, EMT, has been named chief nursing officer of Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH). Yeatman had been serving in an interim capacity since August.
