More than 150 nurses from Vanderbilt University Medical Center convened in Langford Auditorium recently for an occasion that happens once every two years: the Nursing Staff Bylaws Convention.

The American Psychiatric Nurses Association has recognized a nurse at Vanderbilt Pyschiatric Hospital (VPH) as one of nine graduate scholars nationwide.

A child’s ability to distinguish musical rhythm is related to his or her capacity for understanding grammar, according to a recent study from a researcher at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center.

Those are some of the words engraved on more than 500 palm-sized stones that Vanderbilt’s Department of Pastoral Care will give to staff during Pastoral Care Week, Oct. 20-25.
