Vanderbilt’s Brown named dean of Yale School of Medicine

Nancy Brown, MD, Hugh J. Morgan Professor and chair of the Department of Medicine in the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, has been named dean of the Yale School of Medicine. She will join Yale on Feb. 1, 2020.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center completes acquisition of Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon

VUMC announced completion of the acquisition of Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon, a two-campus facility licensed for 245 beds, from subsidiaries of Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS). Wilson County’s only hospital will now be called Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.

Rick W. Wright, MD, one of the nation’s leading orthopaedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists, has been named chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He will join the faculty Sept. 1.
