After a several-year hiatus, the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Faculty Advisory Council has been re-established to represent the School’s 3,000-plus faculty.

Amy Schoeny, PhD, System Vice President, Total Rewards and Human Resources Administration with Advocate Aurora Health, has been named Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Chief Human Resources Officer. She will join the organization April 26.

Jonathon Yeatman, MBA, will join Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Feb. 15 as Senior Vice President for Business Development.

Leaders of Vanderbilt University Medical Center announced today the acquisition of Tennova Healthcare-Shelbyville and Tennova Healthcare-Harton hospitals and their related businesses, including physician clinic operations and outpatient services, from subsidiaries of Community Health Systems Inc. (CHS).

After an extensive national search Alice Coogan, MD, interim chair of the Department and professor of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology (PM&I), has been named as the department’s next chair, effective immediately. Coogan will be the seventh chair of the department and the first female chair.

Mary Pawlikowski, MA, MEd, Chief Operating Officer of Vanderbilt Behavioral Health, has been named interim president of the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital (VPH), succeeding Jameson Norton, MBA, in the role he has held since 2016.
