Allan Williams, MSN-Ed, RN, CFRN, EMT-P, flight nurse/paramedic for Vanderbilt LifeFlight, 55, died Nov. 8, during his service as a member of LifeFlight 1, based in Gallatin, Tennessee. The LifeFlight helicopter went down in an unpopulated area in Wilson County, Tennessee.

Thirteen patients received free orthopaedic surgeries, including five sports cases, six hand/upper extremity cases and, for the first time, two foot and ankle surgeries.

With no appointment necessary, patients can walk in and be seen by orthopaedic specialists trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute injuries and chronic conditions.

Now located in suite 20400 on the north side of the outpatient medical complex, the clinic is best accessed from the front parking lot, entering through Entrance D.

“There isn’t just one story of how Jessie makes those she serves her highest priority, there are thousands,” wrote one clinic co-worker. “Her big laugh and can-do attitude are contagious.”

Blood Assurance guarantees that blood donated at VUMC blood drives will be used for patients at Vanderbilt. It is also possible for donors at any Middle Tennessee Blood Assurance drive to designate the donated blood for VUMC.

Brian Reid, CRNA, used to pack Chris and Mary's lunches before school. Now they all work together in VUMC's Department of Anesthesiology.
