A longtime vice chancellor and general counsel who cared deeply about Vanderbilt's integrity and reputation has died at the age of 75.

Pamela F. Cipriano, president of the American Nurse Association, was the guest of honor at a reception hosted by the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing on April 5.

Edward G. Nelson, a prominent banker, civic leader and longtime member of the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust, has died at the age of 84.
