Vanderbilt’s Joshua Denny, M.D., M.S., associate professor of Biomedical Informatics and Medicine and a recognized leader in the national Precision Medicine Initiative, delivered last week’s Flexner Discovery Lecture.

Statistician Roderick Little, Ph.D., the Richard D. Remington Distinguished University Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan, discussed his work analyzing data sets with missing values during his recent Flexner Discovery Lecture.

Emery Brown, M.D., Ph.D., a noted anesthesiologist, neuroscientist and statistician, will deliver the next Flexner Discovery Lecture on Thursday, Feb. 11.

“Stay with science,” Nobel laureate Peter Agre, M.D., advised dozens of medical and graduate students who attended his lecture at Vanderbilt University Medical Center last week. “It will take you to fascinating places.”

Dora Angelaki, Ph.D., of Baylor College of Medicine, explored a computational perspective on autism at her recent Flexner Discovery Lecture.
