Vanderbilt University Medical Center to break ground on Hendersonville multi-specialty clinic

Vanderbilt University Medical Center will soon break ground on a new 31,000-square-foot facility that will offer adult outpatient specialty care, along with limited pediatric specialty care and imaging services to the citizens of Sumner and surrounding counties.

Children’s Hospital leadership appointments announced

After serving as interim president of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Meg Rush, MD, MMHC, has been named to permanently fill the role of president. Succeeding Rush in the role as hospital’s chief of staff is John Thomas, MD, associate professor of Pediatric Urology.

Shon Dwyer, MBA, RN, executive director of Michigan Medicine’s (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor) University Hospital and Frankel Cardiovascular Center, has been named the new president of Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital (VUAH).

Year in Review 2019: New appointments bolster VUMC’s core missions

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt staff gathered recently to celebrate the hospital’s performance in the recent U.S. News & World Report ranking of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals. For the 13th consecutive year, Children’s Hospital was named among the nation’s leaders in pediatric health care by the magazine in its annual ranking released in June. Children’s Hospital once again achieved a maximum of 10 out of 10 pediatric specialty programs to be nationally ranked. Vanderbilt University Medical Center completes acquisition of Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon

VUMC announced completion of the acquisition of Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon, a two-campus facility licensed for 245 beds, from subsidiaries of Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS). Wilson County’s only hospital will now be called Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.
